Now into its 19^th year Back to Basics is still going strong, with no sign of Dave Beer's legendary bastion of club culture letting up. Formed in 1991 by Dave Beer and Alistair Cooke the club has gone on to continually set new standards and pioneer the best music of the time.

Basics all round presence continually acts like a magnet for like-minded people, drawn to the combination of its Rock 'n Roll ethos, passion for music and a refusal to sell out which remains to this day. Over the years Basics has been responsible for the debut appearances of the likes of Francois K, Danny Tenaglia, Frankie Knuckles, Doc Martin, Josh Wink and Derrick Carter, to name a few. The resident DJ’s have always been the backbone of the club and stars in their own right.

Into 2010 Basics continues to lead the way, continuing to showcase the best artists in the world and hold its position as the King of global club royalty.The credentials of its residents and the list of premier league DJ’s who remain loyal to the establishment is testament to the magnitude of the history, present day and what is to follow. The legendary bastion of house always has been and continues to stay “two steps further than any other fucker” and it’s coming to town near you soon.
