Kevin Griffiths is not only a prolific producer, remixer and DJ but also owner of Tsuba records, which is regarded as one of the world’s key labels in underground house music. With a consistently growing fan base amongst DJs, music fans and journalists alike Tsuba is the second most charted UK label on RA and regularly tops the charts of leading dance music download store, Beatport.
Last year saw the release of his second single, ‘Cantona Kung Fu’, that reached number 2 in the deep house chart on Beatport for one month and was licensed to compilations by Steve Bug and Terry Lee Brown Junior. A collaboration with Okain titled ‘Journey To Jah’ was released in November on the respected Four:Twenty imprint and was awarded Mixmag’s house single of the month. Following the success of the ‘Oh Yeah’ EP in January 2010 (along with mixes from Julien Chaptal and Afrilounge) there are forthcoming projects this year including another Tsuba Colours release, a collaboration with Peace Division’s Justin Drake and a second EP with Okain. Kevin’s Forthcoming remixes include Huxley and Omid 16B on Tsuba and one for the hotly tipped Luna Recordings label.
His DJing schedule sees Kevin regularly host Tsuba label nights and play alongside the best in the world at clubs like Fabric in London, Watergate in Berlin, Lost Baggage in Sydney, Zouk in Singapore, Snatch in Miami, City Hall in Barcelona and Mandarine Crew in Mexico City.
This year more releases, gigs and label nights are in store for Kevin Griffith’s as his musicality continues to flourish with the support of the global house community.
