We Play House Recordings
From the unlikely village of Deinze – near Ghent if you are into geography – comes a Belgian label called ‘We Play House Recordings’. The label is the brainchild of Red D, a veteran Belgian jock that has been active on the dj scene for well over 15 years. Red D’s fine ear for quality is the deciding factor in WPH's release schedule. The simple aim of We Play House Recordings is to release house music that we like and play. No hype, no trend, no tribute, just good house music. San Soda is the main producer of the label, but the WPH family also includes fellow Belgian DJ/producers Maxim Lany and Ramon Tapia, FCL (the collaboration between San Soda and label boss Red D), vocalist Lady Linn, German deep house prodigy Dynamodyse, UK's Russ Gabriel and Luv Jam, Mr Reggie Dokes from Detroit/Atlanta, Chicago Legend Tyree Cooper, Belgian veteran Raoul Lambert, Spain's Nacho Marco and the one and only Jus-Ed. Long live house, long live WPH!

We Play House Recordings label nights can be booked with a selection of the following artists:
FCL - San Soda and Red D can be booked and billed separately as FCL. Label boss Red D can be booked for DJ sets and main producer San Soda can be booked for Ableton live sets and or DJ sets. San Soda is the young and eager producer who has racked up one big release after another since his debut in 2008, and Red D is the seasoned veteran who has been playing house music in its broadest sense all over Belgium and beyond since the early 90ies.
Maxim Lany: Ghentbased DJ and producer who has been playing all over the country and beyond these last couple of years. Was responsible for WPH002, the ‘Highway E.P.’ together with Ramon Tapia of Great Stuff fame.
Lady Linn: triple Belgian Music Industry Award winner Lady Linn has become the leading singer in Belgium the last two years. Whether it’s jazz or dance, this diva handles it all. She featured on WPH001 as singer for the ‘Red D & Lady Linn Vocal Remix’ of San Soda’s ‘20070505’ and has also recorded vocals for the stunning WPH007, FCL’s ‘Vocals For Everyone EP’.
Tyree Cooper: the living Chicago hiphouse legend needs no introduction. In the game since the mid 80’s, this DJ/producer/MC is still going strong. Based in Berlin he was responsible for the third release in WPH’s limited coloured vinyl only series.
Reggie Dokes: Reggie Dokes has been doing his Detroit deep thing for years now, but in 2009 he finally surfaced through releases on Clone, Deep Explorer and Philpot. His ‘Spectacle of Deepness EP’ (WPH004) came down a storm just before the summer of 2009. The FCLedit of ‘Dream Catcher’ made in into the top playlist of Mr Scruff, Levon Vincent, Dixon, Ame and many, many more.
JusEd: JusEd has been making quite the name for himself. His own Underground Quality label has been hailed as one of the most forward thinking deep house label to surface in recent years. For WPH002 he provided a slamming remix of Maxim Lany & Ramon Tapia’s ‘Highway’ track, doing it his way.
Russ Gabriel: Russ Gabriel is a man that was once at the top of the techno game, and then just as easily stunned the world with classic house releases. He’s the man behind the infamous Ferox label and now tours the world with his live set. He provided WPH006 at the end of 2009, much to the joy of music lovers worldwide.
Dynamodyse: this young Germany prodigy joined the WPH ranks in September 2009 with the release of the absolutely stunning ‘Shelter EP’, featuring an array of gorgeous deep house grooves reminding us of early St Germain.
Luv Jam: Luv Jam is the alias of Andy Cole, and also the name of his party collective of DJ’s, producers and all-round good Welsh people from the town of Wrecsam, also known as Wrexham for those Englishmen who are still afraid to wonder beyond Chester… Luv Jam has a unique and fresh sound and is a very welcome addition to the growing number of fresh house faces in the WPH stable.
Raoul Lambert: Belgium’s finest Raoul Lambert is also known as Raoul Belmans and is half of the producer’s duo Swirl People. Raoul Belmans has emerged as a prominent, international house music figure, with a DJ career spanning beyond a decade. Possessing a love of all things funky, Raoul's passion for music amalgamated with a drive to succeed has resulted in him becoming a pivotal force in the house music industry.
Sebastien San: Following a youth spent behind the counter in a French record store, Sebastien San is well versed in the varied shades of the music industry. No one less than Fabrice Lig turned him into the production side of music. His debut album Duel came out on Gigolo in 2006. In 2008 Sebastien San struck back with the highly acclaimed single Rising Sun on Carl Craig’s legendary Detroit label Planet E Communications and more releases on labels such as Echocord Colour, Rush Hour and, of course, We Play House Recordings (September 2010). Definitely keep an eye on this very talented Frenchman in love with Detroit!
