For its fourth release Leeds-based party-starters Death On The Balcony (aka Paul Hargreaves and Mark Caramelli) have pulled out all the stops with two cracking new tracks and remixes by Boston dudes Soul Clap and Irishman Gavin Herlihy.
Produced with their mate Ste Roberts, ‘Clean Air’ and ‘Joplin’ are inspired by Woodstock, the latter an atmospheric groover sampling a certain Janis. ‘Clean Air’ is a techy workout with psychedelic chords, while Mr Herlihy adds a bit more kick and quirky melodies. It all amounts to a polished, heavyweight release. *****
