Originally hailing from the unlikely bright lights of Blackpool, Leeds-based Death On The Balcony have struck house gold as half of label Magic Bag, pulling from it releases by dOP, Simon Baker and Jamie Jones, as well as fellow label residents Youandme and People Get Real. Latest single ‘Clean Air/Joplin’ draws on Woodstock’s legacy, the later track’s Janis Joplin sampling vibes remixed by Soul Clap to amazing effect.
Now Death On The Balcony bring two hours of languid disco, chopped funk and lush atmospheric tech to kick off the new DJ Mag podcast series in fine style.
